ABOUT INFO
As a child, Spock was betrothed to T'Pring in accordance with traditional Vulcan marriage procedure. After logic extremists bombed a Vulcan Learning Center, Spock confronted his foster sister as she tried to leave. Michael deliberately insulted Spock's parentage to drive him away from her, leaving Spock distraught as she fled. This has left him with psychological damage and a distaste for humanity.
He is still opening up to human emotions.
Spock is driven by rules and logic, and acts as one of the most strategic persons to serve on the Enterprise. As a high-valued Science Officer with exceptional long-term planning skills, he accompanies the landing party quite often on missions. His skillset ranges from combat and communications to philosophy and Earth history.
Spock's interspecies nature causes him to become self-conflicted in certain situations, mostly due to discrimination from other Vulcans. Though he always favors logic, he may be driven to emotion if necessary by logical means. Vulcan emotions are very intense, which is why they are suppressed in favor of such logic.

Touch Telepathy is a Vulcan trait / ability that allows them to read the thoughts of another through contact. Surface level thoughts and emotions can be read this way.

Mind Melding is a much stronger ritualistic telepathy, in which both parties experience each other's existence. This can allow the recovery of repressed memories, as well as acting as a lie detector.
